The racers are starting to arrive in Nikolai. Mackey arrived in 7th place at 13:50 local time. He still has all 16 dogs. Mackey came in almost exactly 2 hours behind the leader, Sebastian Schnuelle.
There is still a lot of treacherous terrain ahead of these mushers and their teams. I hope Mackey and his new team have what it take to make it to the finish line in the lead position.
