Tuna Fishing

Yesterday was the first day of tuna season, for me anyhow. We went out of Oregon Inlet in NC for a slow but rewarding day of fishing. I am lucky enough to have a small group of good friends that gets together a few times a year for some tuna fishing. Usually when it is cold we go south to Carolina and as the water warms we go out of Ocean City.
Yesterday was a very cold day. In the pictures below you will see the ice on the side of the boat prior to launch. We were all bundled up and headed out 40nm looking for some warm water. The best we could do was 65 but we managed to get a really nice fish in the boat and tonight he will be on the grill.
Below are a few pictures for you to enjoy. There is some blood but don't worry, its not from Humpy.
I will continue to post pictures and stories of our adventures. In October we are all going elk hunting in Colorado for 14 days.
