Deadline to file for school board March 6
Candidates wishing to file for two open seats on the Cape Henlopen school board must file the appropriate paperwork with the Sussex County Department of Elections by 4:30 p.m., Friday, March 6. Filing forms are available at electionssc.delaware.gov and at the department’s office, 119 North Race St., P.O. Box 457, Georgetown, DE 19947. The department can be reached at 856-5367.
Seats available are, one Area C seat, now held by board Vice President Dr. Peter Coveleski, and one member-at-large seat, now held by Allan Redden.

The seats are for five-year terms.

The election will be Tuesday, May 12.
