Israel Elections

While I get frustrated when people in other countries try to tell us who would be best to run our country, I think I am allowed to express my opinion and maybe do a little cheering at the news that with 67% of the votes counted it looks like Benjamin Netanyahu's Likud Party has made a strong showing.

Regardless of the final counts the Likud Party appeared to have the upper hand in forming a ruling coalition thanks to strong showing by other right-wing parties. Votes cast by soldiers from bases around Israel will not be tallied until sometime Thursday.

Bibi is quoted saying:
"With God's help, I will lead the next government," Netanyahu told a raucous crowd of cheering supporters chanting his nickname, Bibi, early Wednesday. "The national camp, led by the Likud, has won a clear advantage."

I have to agree with PM Netanyahu and say with gods help and grace a strong leader will be returned to power. The Israeli people deserve a PM that will stand up for their rights and that will support their desire to be a sovereign nation.

With Iran's repeated calls to wipe Israel off the face off the map, and their denial of the Holocaust, Israel needs the strongest leadership they can get.
