Big Tax Cuts Coming By April

Thanks to Dear Leader(I borrowed that term from my dear friend Mike Church) the Treasury has instructed employers to cut withholding taxes by April 1st.
He said the Treasury Department has begun directing employers to reduce the amount of taxes withheld from people's paychecks in accordance with the new law, and that in six weeks, a typical family will start taking home at least $65 more every month.
"Never before in our history has a tax cut taken effect faster or gone to so many hardworking Americans," Obama said Saturday in his weekly radio and Internet address.

The average employee will see about a $13 a week increase in their paycheck. That's right, if you save your "tax cut" for 104 weeks, 2 years, you will be able to buy a Sony Bravia 42" TV. Or for you hunting types if you save your "tax cut" for 6 weeks you can buy a box of shells for your favorite rifle.

Now if you recall during the campaign Dear Leader Obama told us he was going to give a tax cut to 95% of working Americans. Now in his defense he never said how much of a tax cut. I am not an ungrateful person but $13, really????

Obama says his signature "Making Work Pay" tax break will affect 95 percent of working families.

The $400 credit for individuals is to be doled out through the rest of the year. Couples are slated to get up to $800. Most workers are to see about a $13 per week increase in their take-home pay. In 2010, the credit would only be about $7.70 a week.

I Hope we do not see a bunch of people running out buying unnecessary items with their new found fortunes. I would advise the 95% of people that are receiving this windfall to save it for a rainy day, or a happy meal for their child.
