Delaware To Accept "Spendulus" Funds

When I heard some governors were in DC meeting with Obama about the "spendulus" package I must admit I got a little excited thinking Markell might actually refuse the money. Shame on me! I knew better. Markell is already there with an armored truck to bring the money back to Delaware. He has planned to use the funds to help shrink the states' project budget shortfall or lower the unemployment rate.

Where does this fool think the money is coming from? Does he think its free money? Markell you are a jackass!

In meetings and a "governors-only luncheon," Markell said he has been listening to and discussing ways Delaware can bolster its economy. Last week, Markell announced a state partnership with a think tank that supports green policies in a move that he said will not only focus on the environment but also create companies in that sector.

Here we go spending money on "green" policies. Markell is a buffoon. He is going to continue the failed liberal policies of the last administration. It is very easy to balance the budget. I am forced to do it every month. I do not have ties to China or the Obama administration so the monies I make have to last me an entire month. Markell thinks he can continue to tax and spend until Obama comes to his rescue.

There are a couple of good governors out there though. The governors from the following states are opposed to the stimulus: Alaska, Mississippi, Louisiana, South Carolina and Idaho

Gov. Haley Barbour, R-Miss., has said he is considering turning down millions of dollars in unemployment aid because it would force his state to raise taxes when the stimulus money runs out by putting in place a tax on employers. Louisiana Republican Gov. Bobby Jindal also objects to strings attached to stimulus dollars, as well as the plan's overall approach to dealing with the economic crisis. "I don't think the best way to do that is for the government to tax and borrow more money," Jindal said Sunday on "Meet the Press" on NBC. "If all they do is borrow federal money and give it to the states, all we're really doing is delaying the inevitable. We're eventually going to have to make these hard choices anyway."

Folks this state is headed for the worst economic disaster in history. If Markell continues to spend and does not cut spending and state employees we are going to experience our own "Great Depression".
